The Dean Ivan Toth, Phd, on October 12, 2018, on behalf of University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica signed a grant agreement worth 1.795.570,23 kuna for the project “Specialist Graduate Professional Study of Optometry” at the Ministry of Science and Education.
This is also the official start of the project implementation. Approved projects will be realized with the aim to contribute to the improvement of quality and relevance of Croatian higher education through internationalization. The aim of this project is to develop a new Specialist Graduate
Professional Study programme of Optometry in English. Through this project, new teacher competencies will be developed in terms of application of new learner-centered teaching methods with a focus on learning outcomes. Thus, human resources will be improved and the institutional capacity of the University will be strengthened. The new specialist study which will be developed through this project will be aligned with the guidelines of the The World Council of Optometry and the European Diploma in Optometry, and as such will become a desirable curriculum for acquiring the necessary and required competences aligned with world trends in the labor market.
